There are many interesting events on the horizon at FibreWorks Gallery in Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast.
The Game: Another Take on the Exquisite Corpse can be viewed up until June 12 at FibreWorks Gallery in Pender Harbour (see previous posting) . After that, there will be one final opportunity to see it at the Seymour Art Gallery , 4360 Gallant Ave, North Vancouver – from August 30 to September 5, 2011. The next exhibition at FibreWorks runs from June 18-July 31, 2011: No Floors Required - Contemporary Hand-hooked Rugs by Rachelle LeBlanc and Michelle Sirois-Silver. Pat Crucil, an art quilter from Sechelt, BC, is being featured in two solo exhibitions in the next few months - a retrospective showing at the Leigh Square Arts Village Gallery from August 2 - 12, 2011, and an exhibition of new work (2010 & 2011) at FibreWorks Gallery in Pender Harbour, from Sept 23 until the end of October. Anna Hergert will be teaching a workshop at FibreWorks Studio Gallery from August 8-12, 2011, called Design Inspiration from Living Forms (five days - check with Yvonne for details - email or 604-883-2380). Anna's website.
Her exhibition at FibreWorks Gallery, Sharing Riches of My Soul, runs from Aug 6th - Sept.18th 2011. The opening reception is Aug. 6th; 2 - 4pm. Anna was recently the grand prize winner at the Grand National Quilt Show (see her winning piece at right).
