CUTTINGS at FibreWorks Gallery in Pender Harbour

The opening reception for the show CUTTINGS; Textile Paintings by Jennifer Love, was held on Saturday, March 30th, 2013, and it was a wonderful event. It all happened at FibreWorks Gallery in Madeira Park, Pender Harbour on the Sunshine Coast, BC.
The members of the Sunshine Coast SDA group provided and coordinated all the food for the party and it was fabulous - check out the picture below showing the great plethora of nibblie choices (always lots of gluten-free). That's me (Jennifer Love) in the middle in the orange top (matching the macarons which were made by Pat Crucil). Shown in the pic from left to right are: Pat Crucil, Connie Chapman, Jennifer Love, Jill Sullivan, Sharon Roye and Anne Gregory. Yvonne Stowell, alas, was busy with visitors.

Below, for those of you who can't make it to the show, are a couple of installation shots and then a few images of the individual works. Aren't those yurts dramatic?

The exhibition is on from March 30th to April 28th, 2013.
Thanks so much to Yvonne Stowell for being such a great host/gallery owner, and to everyone else who helped make the opening reception, and the SDA meeting at FibreWorks on July 7th, such a resounding success.
